В Custom Settings:
1. A1-> Focus... И снимайте всегда в AF-C...
3. А8-> 11 точек...
4. А3-> 9 точек (Вы же портреты в dynamic не снимаете)... Вот рецомендации хогана по А3...

Make your choice for number of points based upon your subject, how much of the subject you need to keep focus on, and how the subject is moving. If you were framing a person and animal fully (they occupy the entire frame) and trying to keep focus on the face (eyes), you’d use a narrow pattern (9 points). If you have a single person or animal relatively small in the frame but moving a lot within the frame, you’d use a wide pattern (51 points). Basically, you’re controlling how far from the original focus selection point you’ll allow the camera to follow the subject. When you have multiple subjects in the scene, it becomes imperative that you keep the width of the area you select small enough to only stay on the subject you want to use for focus. For example, if you’re shooting a team sport like football, using 9 points allows you to keep focus on one player while using 51 points might let the focus system bounce from player to player. Overall, I suggest you error on the “too tight” side rather than the “too loose” side.

The other critical aspect of this function is the difference that 3D makes on the 51 point options. Here you’re choosing whether or not to keep the focusing solely chosen by the autofocus sensors, or whether you want to allow the color detection of the metering sensor to take part as well (3D-tracking).
Why is color important? Because it allows the camera to make decisions about the subject even when it moves off the autofocus sensor area! Let’s take a simple example. You’ve got a person dressed all in black against a white background dancing around in the frame. The autofocus system can only see contrast, so it’s fine if locked onto the face but not so fine if all it sees is the black clothing.
So consider the situation where the person’s face temporarily moves out of the area that has autofocus sensors. What happens? If you’re lucky, the camera will lock onto some of that black. More likely, it’ll start hunting for focus. With 3D-tracking turned on, the camera has a pattern (face/body against background) that it can use to improve focus.
Now consider the situation where the face moves off the autofocus sensors but the body doesn’t get closer or further: focus ought to stay where it was and the 3D system can actually detect that because the color pattern it sensed via the meter didn’t change in size and only moved laterally in the frame.
Finally, consider the case where the pattern gets smaller (subject moving away from you). The camera knows it must move focus away from the original point and thus is looking at the focus sensors that indicate that this has happened and guessing that it should use those.
Obviously, it’s much more complex than that, but in a nutshell, that’s the choice you’re making between 51 points and 51 points (3D-tracking). In the former, only the autofocus sensors are being used, and they may stumble in low contrast or low light situations. In the latter setting, the color metering system gives the system more information that make it much more likely to find the right spot in challenging situations. The downside, if any, is that 51 points (3D-tracking) seems to be a little more processing intensive, and thus tends to take a fraction of a second longer to lock into focus in the first place. What function makes more of a difference on a D700 and D3 (where the autofocus sensing area is smaller) than on a D300 (where the autofocus sensors cover a larger portion of the frame).
If you have a clear pattern of something in your frame that you want to keep focus on (the more distinct from the background the better), it’s probably worth trying 51 points (3D-tracking).
А 1\2500сек не многовато (маловато)? Света может не хватить... ISO надо будет задирать если не много солнца :)
