Бывший юзер Сигмы DP-1 припал к груди тёти Сони и вкусил благ от обладания NEX:
"My brilliant Sigma DP1 died and I ended up with NEX5 in my hands.Today I walked around the city and tested NEX5 for about 2 hours. It was a cloudy day so do not expect much sun in the pictures emoticon - smile I use kit zoom lenses 18-55 and shot in RAW.
Observations:
+ Camera is very light with zoom lense. Ergonomics is great.
+ I learned menu system within 1 hour and now have no problem with it at all changing all needed settings. Sure, if you want to change ISO for every single shot then this camera is not for you.
+ Video and sound recording is good. I really liked the quality. But remeber, I never had a camcoder and DP1 video is crap.
+ Manual focusing is a joy , especially when magnification automatically kicks in when you strat focusing - is it the same with not native lenses?
+ Possible to do Birds in fly , though , not as reliable as normal DSLR. See pictures below.
* Sky and clouds are pretty booring whatever I tried to do. See comments for pictures below.
* Size of files is huge in comparison with Foveon - slows down my image processing dramatically. I need a new computer emoticon - smile
* Barel distortion VISIBLE but I do not care emoticon - smile Check pictures below.
* SW is slow and not really user friendly. Though, better than any other Sw from Sony I saw in my previous life.
* Shutter sound is loud. I felt gulty walking on the market square and photographing people. They immediatelly hear shutter sound.
* Camera is not really small with zoom lenses.
* Battery goes down fast = 117 pictures in 2 hours = 47% remains. Spare battery is a must IMHO.
* Camera ,some times, refuses to focus in low light. Need to use manual focusing
* Could not recover highlight as much as it was possible with DP1.
Overal impression:
It is a good light camera with good ergonomics and good predictable IQ. Probably, I will keep it. However, I will buy DP1x when it is released as a wide lense pocketable camera with magnificant IQ if you know what you are doing emoticon - smile
