My name is Mr. Mey Rithy. When I was 16 years old I became a soldier in the Cambodian army and fought for them for 13 years until my landmine accident in 1993. As a result of stepping on the landmine, I lost my lower left leg. In 2000 I came to Siem Reap to look for work but unable to find anyone willing to employ me, both me and my wife turned to begging as we had no other way to support our family. After begging for about 5 years I am now learning to sew and make handicrafts with an organisation called Rehab Craft Cambodia.... Please help me and my wife support ourselves and our 3 children by buying something from us.We do not want to beg and we are trying to improve both the present and future situation of our family.
