Sorry - my Russian isn't good enough to ask this question. Please feel free to answer in Russian - although if it gets complicated, English, German or French would preferred. ;)
Yesterday, I got a Peleng 8mm Fisheye lens through a friend in Moscow. But I now have the problem that I can't move the manual aperture ring. It's just stuck at aperture 8. This is the case regardless of the position in which the "lock-unlock"-ring is set. Also, if I look through the lens (without mounting it on my camera), the diaphragm seems to be in the shape of a drop rather than fully round. Do I have a faulty lens or am I missing something basic here? Returning this lens to Moscow would be a *reeeeeal* hassle. :?
Has anyone ever opened one of these lenses? Is this something a precision mechanic (without experience with lenses) will be able to do (and put it back together again...)?
Any hints would be appreciated.

I had a look at the warranty card again - and it seems my friend was cheated. The date of purchase is given as the 10th of April 2003 - but she bought it a couple of days ago. I guess it will be difficult to ask for warranty repair with this kind of "proof" although she will be back in Moscow within the next couple of months... I wonder, though, whether the credit card payment can be renounced/contested in a case like this?
Looks to me as if she was sold a used (and probably dropped) lens instead of a new one.
Anyone with any experiences with "Mir Foto" on Leningradskij Prospekt in Moscow?

It looks like "Mir Foto" belongs to Sivma (www.sivma.ru) (though I might be wrong they may just have kiosk there in "Mir Foto" )
This is a big company and I suggest you write them and ask if this situation can be resolved.
Do you have a receipt? How does this purchase appear on Credit Card statement? If you can prove your date of purchase (receipt or Credit Card statement) you can just tell them that date of purchase stampted into warranty card is incorrect.
Anyways try to resolve this situation peacefully before to renounce Credit Card charge and Good Luck.
