The Konica Minolta Photo World says goodbye!

Probably you already heard about in the press during the past months that Konica Minolta Holding, Inc. in Tokio has officially announced on January, 19th 2006 that it is withdrawing from the camera and photo business.
For this reason also Konica Minolta Photo World will close on June, 15th 2006.

In the past we enjoyed it a lot writing detailed workshops, numerous articles, and stories around photography. We have fond memories of all those fascinating pictures you sent us within the scope of countless photo contests and we will remember all the kind feedback mails we received from you.

On behalf of the whole Konica Minolta Photo World team we want to thank you, dear members, for the wonderful time we had.

But it s an end as well as a beginning!

Sony will continue to develop digital SLRs based around the Konica Minolta lens mount. This way all present Konica Minolta AF lenses remain compatible with future digital SLR cameras from Sony. Furthermore Sony will expand the range of AF lenses for digital and analogue SLR cameras from Konica Minolta and continue this successful SLR system.

Тут можно расслабиться: у Сапога чёткая маркетинговая политика; юзер сапога спокоен, что он может в любом городе "купить/докупить,продать,отремотировать,обменять,попросить_у_друга" тушку,стекло или пых Сапог.
Всё кристально ясно.

Так что синдром МНОГОЛЕТНЕГО (до сих пор!!!) молчания и тишины - Сапогу не грозит.
