Can you recommend me Digital Camera which I can use with M42 screw mount lense from Zenit?

I'm from Bulgaria, but I have some problems with russian and want to ask you in english. You can write your answers in russian, I think (home) that I can understand them.

I have Zenit ET camera with some M42 lenses (normal, wide angled, telephoto lense with f=300mm, 2x teleconverter).

I want to buy a digital camera (and some kind of adapter to M42), but I don't know which brands I can use with adapter. I've read this thread:

Thank you CSB, I've red some reviews for Canon 300D and I think it is really nice camera (but it is too expensive here in Bulgaria, I think that a friend can buy it from ebay for me).

You can use not only 300D, it is possible to use any chamber Canon with EF or EFS a bayonet joint and adapter M42. The adapter is better for trying on, the preference needs to be given metal adapters, to try to exclude the big backlash,many prefer to use Jolos EOS-M42.

Yes, I have one. I am completely satisfied with it (but as a photografer I am far from perfect :) ). The camera offers much more possibilities then I would possibly ever use as an amateur. It is 2 years old, but I have no intention to replace it with a newer model (at the moment). However I have neither M42 lenses nor personal experience with them. But my copy of the kit lens performs quite satisfactory when I have a mood to shoot wide angle.

For M42 you may use almost any of DSLR body, but only with adapter attached inbetween (simple metal ring to be mounted between the lens and the body). I use them with 300D in Av mode (to enable TTL meterring).

it seems that Pentax has a focus indicator working for manual focus lenses. Please check it for M42 lenses + adaptor.

Next, do not over estimate legacy lenses. If you have an incredible high-quality M42 lenses, I think your can easily order apropriate adaptor for almost any system. At least, сompare lenses your own whith some kit lenses ( of course, it's better to compare with similar lenses) to make up your own opinion.

AFAIK it'll work only with K MF lrnses (and only DS will do correctly), not with M42.
